Wow! Good Karma, Good Books...that could have been my blog slogan if it wasn't already taken! BAFAB Week is here! And you didn't even know it was coming. It is SO up my alley that I am enthusiastically participating.
So, all you have to do is post a comment here on my blog providing me with a list of the top three books you have ever read! There will be no evaluation, no judgment, just a random selection (overseen by my ultra-honest-unless-you-ask-him-if-he-brushed-his-teeth son, Rory) and the book of your choice delivered to you (within reason, let's say $30 maximum....I could just see Amy ordering the complete set of Jane Austen or something). Oh...and let's say the drawing will be a week from today which will be Sunday, October 8. Be sure to either include your e-mail address in your post to send it to me privately so that I have a way to contact you if you win!
Please mail my offer to as many of your friends as you would like...even though it might decrease your chance of "winning", it will improve your Karma...and that is so much more important.

What happened to Rory? Are the 70's back again so soon?
My 3 favorite books? HMMM.
The Old Man and the Sea - Hemingway
Romeo & Juliet - Shakespeare
The House of Seven Gables - Hawthorne
I guess I need to read more, because I haven't read many modern novels. I need to make more time to read.
Thanks thinking of such a great idea!

Di, I'm very happy to post here, with your permission.
Well here in Italy I read a lot of books, mostly in italian cause I'm too lazy to translate from english all the words I don't know. Sometimes also books from italian writers, but mostly are from abroad. Here are my 3 books:
1 - "The God of Small Things" from Roy Arundhati
It's an old story so much actual and well written.
2 - "The Kite Runner" from Hosseini, Khaled
I've always been fascinated by children books and desert
3 - "The Bridge Across Forever" from Richard Bach
It lets me astonished after several times I've been reading it and each time it's like the first one.
Ok I know I always spend too much words (go figure what a phone-call is with me!), so, I close hoping you've read any of this!

Hi Di!
I saw your blog participating in the "Buy A Friend A Book" on another blog, so thought I'd drop in.
I read on your "About Me" that I can add you to my links, so...I will do that! I really enjoyed browsing through your blog just now.
While I'm here I may as well participate. These are favorites, but not necessarily Top 3:
1. THE KITE RUNNER (Hosseini)
2. MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA (Golden)
3. A MILLION LITTLE PIECES (Frey)
Thanks! :)

Top 3 books. Hmmm.... that's going to be difficult.
1. Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver
2. Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen
3. Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
4. The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini (OK I cheated! I'm sorry)
You need to come over to my site and enter to win a book. I wished I'd thought to ask for recommendations. Very good idea!
Thank-you.
